You can help Peabody raise funds and not spend money doing so. Simply do all of your Internet searches at GoodSearch.com.

Billy Walker, representative from Josten's will be here Tuesday, September 7, in order to talk to Seniors about Graduation supplies; caps and gowns, announcements, etc.
 
He will return during lunch Thursday, September 16 to take orders and collect deposits.

Public Service Announcements

The 6th Annual 5k Fun Run, sponsored by Gibson General Healthcare Foundation, will be held Thursday, September 9, 6:00 PM, at Gibson General Hospital, in Trenton.
T-shirts will be given to all participants and medals awarded to the top 3 finishers (male and female) in 7 different age groups.
Registration is $10.00, and all proceeds will be donated to the Gibson General Healthcare Foundation.

Academics

Registration deadline for the October 23 ACT is Friday, September 17.
See Mr. Trimble for packet and information.
Peabody will serve as a testing site for this date.

Peabody's Writing Assessment scores improved from 82% proficient/advanced in the 2008-09 school year to 90% for the 09-10 year.
Congratulations to the Faculty, supervisors, and students involved in achieving this.

Over 200 runners representing 14 Schools participated.
 
Boys- Dylan Slayton finished 22nd and Brandon Hensley, 23rd. Also running for Peabody were Paul Ramirez, Dane Piazza, Coty James, Nove Kephart, Billy King, Jarricus Hurt, Ricky Castillo, William Harris, and Robert Rayburn.
Girls- No PHS girls participated.
 
A special thanks to Mrs. Linda Webb, Mrs. Kerri Ballentine, Ms. Katie Madden, and the PHS Cheerleaders for thier help in pulling off such a big undertaking.
